In an era of ever-changing digital technology and knowledge economy, traditional production and business models are facing challenges. Product or service innovation can no longer be accomplished solely by professional engineering or design talents. Facing the changing trends of the future society, new ways of thinking and learning are needed to overturn the current educational dilemma, and use innovative teaching methods to cultivate cross-field talents with design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit, so that students can not only play their undergraduate Professionals can extend their hands and cooperate with professionals in different fields to become talents with good cross-field communication and cooperation to cope with the dilemma of shortening the learning-application gap and integrating with industrial transformation faced by higher education in Tawian.

The design thinking department includes processes such as empathy, demand definition, creative brainstorming, prototyping, and actual verification. It focuses on human needs as the core and seeks solutions in a "broad" creative space. Therefore, through different fields With teachers and students participating together, solutions often occur across fields and help produce more in-depth design solutions.

In order to guide future imagination and create a campus atmosphere of entrepreneurial spirit, the Ministry of Education focuses on the cultivation of cross-disciplinary talents in design thinking. It hopes to carry out project and problem-oriented practical design with the theme of industries required for social innovation, and deeply introduce design thinking into the campus. , and through cross-disciplinary cooperation models to achieve cross-professional and industry-friendly education, triggering more possibilities for innovation in the future society, and cultivating the talents needed by future generations.
